Yesterday afternoon, I attended the Jersey Shore President's Meeting on Pete's behalf. Following that meeting, Jersey Shore held its annual Banquet with a little more fanfare this year due to its 50th Anniversary.
Several board members also attended with me. During that night, there were awards presented and I am proud to say that clearly the Buffalos was the name that was heard most during the night.
Here is a Recap:
-Deanna Diehm was presented with her team's First Place National Championship banner along with some narration by Dave Marshall about their "5th place finish".
-Junior Pee Wee Cheer won first place in their division for highest team academic average
-Junior Midget Cheer won first place in their division for highest team academic average
-Midget Football won second place in their division for highest team academic average
-Junior Pee Wee Cheer also received first place for highest team average for all Cheer teams.
But it did not stop there.
-Casey Schuld (along with proud papa Jeff) was awarded a 2010 Eastmond Scholarship based on his grades, extracurricular activities, service as a Student Coach, etc. He was awarded $2,000.
And the topper
-The St. Barts Buffalos were presented with the 2010 Liberty Division Sportmanship Award. This award was voted on by all the President's in our division and was a fantastic achievement and one we should all be proud of. - Todd Young
It was a great night to be a Buffalo !!!!!
